There’s lots of reasons why I just LOVE HUMMUS!! The most important one being that it’s just so yummy and addicting, yet it’s so healthy for you. This type of food is the best- the type that seems unhealthy but secretly isn’t.
The other reasons I love hummus: it’s packed with protein, which is great for vegetarians and keeps you full longer, it’s SO easy to make, and it can be flavored pretty much any way you like.
This time I wanted a snack with a kick so I whipped up this hummus in my Nutribullet blender- all in just 5 minutes 👊
So goooo people, let the healthy snacking commence!!! 🎉🎉🎉
Serves: 6 Time: 5 minutes
- 1 can chickpeas; drained and rinsed
- 1 tsp crushed red pepper
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- 1/2 tsp cumin
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2 garlic cloves
- 1 and 1/2 tbsp olive oil
- 1/4 cup water
- A few splashes of Tabasco sauce (I added a lot more than a few because I like a lot of spice😝)
Directions: Add all ingredients to a food processor (or a Nutribullet will work too) and blend until smooth and creamy. If needed, add more water one tablespoon at a time and continue blending until it reaches your desired consistency.
Transfer to a bowl. Sprinkle with paprika before serving.
