For a week and a half in November, I spent my time exploring various South African plains and safari reserves (Phinda +Kruger National Park to be exact!), and it was truly my most memorable trip to date.
Being the huge nature freak and animal lover that I am, I was absolutely mesmerized being able to watch the wild animals in their natural habitat!! It blows all my prior trips to the zoo out of the water (and I’ll never visit one again lol).
Growing up around the safari trucks since birth, the animals are extremely comfortable around the vehicles, enabling you to get super close to them (sometimes arms-distance away) and witness how they act untouched in their environment.
Some sightings were frightening (more stories on this to come) and others were ADORABLE. This is something I loved so much about the safari rides- you never knew what you’re about to witness. Even your ranger doesn’t quite know what’s in store!
I’ve returned to city life in LA for a little over a week now and already miss those thrilling drives through the wild at the crack of dawn and sunset every day. I think I went on 10 drives in total and never once got tired of those daily animal searches.
Since my South African safari was just too crazy to put into words, I wanted to share my photo album from the trip so you can get a better idea!! Enjoy 🐆🐒🐘🐗🐃
